Following on from releasing her debut single (“Simple Song”) to chart / radio airplay & critical success, stunning young Wexford Irish singer songwriter DONNA MARIE releases her sophomore single “I CAN’T SEE IT” on FRIDAY MAY 13TH. The single is taken from her upcoming debut album “MY VOICE”.
“I CAN’T SEE IT” is the polar opposite to that debut single (this new single being much more rock / pop) but DONNA MARIE again remains true to herself by singing in her native accent, something that is sadly missing from many Irish artist releases today. It’s not surprising then that early reviews of the new single are drawing comparisons to Dolores O’Riordan / The Cranberries.
Donna Marie has also filmed her first video to accompany the new single and this will be released on youtube to coincide with the single, which is released via all major digital stores including iTunes. The video shows a much “edgier” image / style to the DONNA MARIE known from her debut single. Always one to experiment, the aforementioned polar opposite also shines through in the video as the young, innocent looking DONNA MARIE of “Simple Song” is replaced by her “don’t mess with me” character in the video.

Wexford’s singer songwriter Donna Marie’s single “I Can’t See It” has some catchy hooks in the chorus, a country rock feel can be heard coming from the guitars, but the electronic keys pop up the sound adding a nice edge to the song. “I Can’t See It” I feel would appeal to many radio broadcasters as a commercial and radio friendly song.
I love the voice of Donna Marie, she uses her own native tongue in her voice with an unique calm tone, it rolls of very nice on this song, the lyrics reflect an everyday situation that we all can relate to even though it’s personal to Donna,I think the song is very cleverly written and constructed, “I Can’t See It” will have you to hitting the reply button for sure.
